Moscow Chemical Lyceum (MCL) was founded in 1990 by Moscow Education Committee in alliance with Russian Academy of Sciences and Moscow young pioneer palace and schoolchildren. In 2015 MCL became a part of Moscow South-Eastern Lyceum and Grammar School Complex.

Main goal of MCL is to ensure the most favourable conditions for development and self-realization for students, highly motivated in scientific research (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics).

MCL established deep integration ties with educational institutions and research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which are interested in training highly qualified specialists. Also MCL has its own unique and equipped with modern equipment chemical laboratory, where lyceum students get acquainted with  the techniques and methodology for conducting a chemical experiment and carry out their research projects.

General education in MCL is also emphasized: almost all major general subjects are educated at advanced level.

Students of MCL become the winners of Moscow, regional, national and international subject Olympiads and scientific conferences on annual basis.

Development of individual creative abilities of students became on of the most important aspects of MCL life. There are theatre and vocal studios, musical instrumental groups, academic choir, orchestra, and clubs for playing on acoustic and electric guitars.

100% MCL graduates continue their education at universities. Admission to MCL is organized on a competitive basis. Education is free, any additional fees are not collected.
